Oh, fiddle, I'll just do it now. BEALOR - page 1104 This information (condensed) is from a bio of Nathaniel Miller on page 1103 whose 2nd wife was Elmira Bealor (they married 11 Sep 1883 in Perry county), widow of William Smith. It says that she was born in Juniata twp in Perry county, 28 April 1849, a daughter of David and Margaret (Smith) Bealor. Nathaniel Miller and 2nd wife Bealor have one child, Ida Mary Miller, born 18 Sep 1884. The grandfather of Elimira Bealor was Max Bealor who was a native of Berks county where he grew to manhood. He married and removed to Perry county, settling in Markelsville where he died in 1850. His wife, Catherine Keiser, survived him 15 years. Their children (surnamed Bealor) were: 1) Mrs. Susan McDowell (died before 1896); 2) John died at age 55 before 1896; 3) David, died before 1896; 4) Margaret, died before 1896, wife of James G. Blaine; 5) Sallie, died in girlhood; 6) Catherine, died in girlhood; 7) Joseph, died before 1896; 8) Mary, maiden lady, died in 1892; 9) Benjamin F., died at Markelsville at an advanced age 22 Jun 1896. NOTE: I have put that they died before 1896 (when book was published) as the book just says 'deceased' and at least the 1896 gives you a point at which to go backwards from (if you get my drift). The father of Elmira Bealor was David Bealor (a son of Max Bealor). He was born in Brecknock twp in Berks county coming to Perry county with his parents when he was aged 12. He received just 2 weeks' schooling and had to walk 12 miles to school when he did go! At the age of 16 he learned the trade of masonry and followed that trade until his marriage at which time he bought a farm on which he lived during the remainder of his life. He died in 1876 in his 83rd year. His wife, Margaret Smith was a native of Perry county and she died in 1888 at age 81. There children (surnamed Bealor) were: 1) Sarah, died in 1895. Her 1st husband was George W. Titzel and her 2nd husband was John Christ; 2) John C., farmer in Blaine, Perry county; 3) Catherine (Mrs William Sausaman of Harrisburg); 4) Elisabeth (Mrs George Ernst of Washington twp); 5) Lydia, maiden lady, Harrisburg; 6) Elmira (Mrs. Nathaniel Miller's 2nd wife - Elmira's 1st husband, William Smith, died in Newport, Pa. in 1877. He was born in Perry county. Children from Elmira's 1st marriage (surnamed Smith were: Martha Calista (wife of Harry C. Swab) and George B. Smith, a farmer in Illinois); 7) Martha, maiden lady, Harrisburg. Margaret Smith, the mother of Elmira Bealor was descended for English stock. Her parents were Daniel and Catherine (Ketner) Smith. Hope this all helps out, Sue
