My current research is focused on Mary Snyder (Snider) listed in Middletown in the census years of 1830 and 1840. She has a son listed of the right age range to be my great grandfather George Snyder born June 1823 in PA. If Mary is indeed the mother of my George, then George has a brother near his age (5-10 in 1830), a brother 8-13 years older than George, and another brother 13-23 years older than George. The John Snyder, age 60, listed in my George's 1860 Michigan household fits a son of Mary listed as age 20 - 30 in Mary's 1830 household. The 1850 Census of Middletown lists a Simon Snyder household, Simon age 25, which would fit as a younger brother of my George. George is 27 in 1850. Questions: 1) Was Mary born in Germany? 2) What was her husband's name and was he born in Germany? 3) Did Mary have a son George born in 1823? 4) Was the 1860 John Snyder, age 60, also Mary's son?
