thanks so much. I had previously heard that a group of United Brethren had gone from Dauphin Co. to Louesa Co. Iowa which is where our Books family was before Nebraska. However I had yet to connect them to the United Brethren. Jonas and Esther BOOKS (1842-1908) were the parents of Elias BOOKS married to Katie Sue Kinsey (1872-1940). Their daughter Esther BOOKS married Dale Weaver, all of whom remained here in Dauphin County. I haven't located Pvt. Jacob BOOKS' ancestors yet, but people are thinking about it. Do you recall anything about the BOOKS shoemaker here in Londonderry Township?
