    3. I have been trying to locate James Hall of Honey Brook, Chester County and his Wife Sarah Ann of Salisbury TwP, Lancaster County. They were Married in Salisbury TWp. in 1851. A volunteer on the PA Census mailing list sent me the following from the 1860 Census: James Hall, age 42, wife Sarah, age 32, daughter Kisiah (Elizabeth K?), age 8, daughter Margaret, age 5, and son James, age 3, no William, living in Harrisburg, Susquehanna Twp., Dauphin County, PA in 1860. Census was taken July 3rd. James ran a hotel. This looks like the family except that it is missing a son William who would have been 7 years old. I believe that the John hall I an seeking died early in the 1860's as his wife shows up in Clearfield County married to James Hughes in 1870. If James did indeed die in Dolphin County then he could be buried there. I would appreciate any help or suggestions with this group. Sarah was formerly Sarah Gabel/Gable my GGGG Aunt. Thanks, Tom, San Pablo, CA .

    3. In both the 1870 and 1880 Morris twp, Clearfield censuses, James W. Hughes' wife is listed as Sarah J. Hughes, not Sarah Ann. In the 1860 Susquehanna twp, Dauphin census is also a John Hall, born abt 1819, and his wife Frances (Fanny). They have a son William, aged 7 (born abt 1853) - this William Hall is not with them in the 1870 census in the Susquehanna twp, Dauphin census. There is also a William Hall, aged 7, in the 1860 Honeybrook, Chester county, Pa census, a son of William and Elizabeth Hall. In the 1850 Lancaster county census, there is just the one Sarah Gable (no Gabel), born abt 1838 & a daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Gable (Sarah is aged 12 in the census). There is a 20-year-old Sarah Gibbel in Rapho twp. More interesting is the Sarah J. Gable, born abt 1828 (aged 22 in 1850) in the 1850 Honey Brook, Chester, Pa census on ancestry page 35 (your James Hall, aged 30, is on page 42 in the same census). Sarah J. Gable is not living with her parents in this census, but oddly there is a J. R. Hughes, aged 24, living in the same household as Sarah J. Gable (the Morton household). Perhaps this is the Sarah J. who eventually became Sarah J. Hughes, wife of James. Certainly the age is correct. Perhaps she was originally from Lancaster county. It would stand to reason that James Hall and Sarah J. Gable met by 1850 and probably somewhere where they both lived. Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "tcivi31" <tcivi31@comcast.net> To: <PADAUPHI@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 28, 2007 9:33 PM Subject: [PADAUPHI] James Hall >I have been trying to locate James Hall of Honey Brook, Chester County and > his Wife Sarah Ann of Salisbury TwP, Lancaster County.
