Nadine, Your posting about going to dinner with an ancestor was certainly thought-provoking. I've gone through numerous imaginary scenarios as a result of your stimulating suggestion. I am torn between preferring to visit my Sulouff immigrant ancestor on his farm in 1803 or having him visit me in my retirement home in Sun City, Tucson, in 2004. What a difference there would be, and what revelations we would have in either case! I administer six Listservs for very uncommon surnames and very small families. Participation is abysmally poor. I think I will be a copycat and post a similar question on my listservs to see if it inspires anyone to respond. Nelson R. Sulouff
