    3. Just for clarity - New Cumberland is actually its own borough, and is not within the jurisdiction of Lower Allen Twp, although it is geographically within Lower Allen Twp as Karl said. (Hi Karl!) Also, there was once a cemetery in downtown New Cumberland, somewhere between 4th and 6th Sts. along Market St. No one seems to know exactly what happened or when (I asked at the borough bldg), but there are buildings on the site. I assume the remains were moved to Mt. Olivet (just south of town), but have no confirmation of it. Does anyone know? This cemetery is shown on a map inside Gilbert Beckley's book on New Cumberland's history.
