1. Joh. Rudolph Espenschied was b. 9-10-1751 d. 1-10-1832 at Kreuznach, is known to be the progenitor of the Bingen-Coblentz line (of the Rhine wine branch fame) of Espenschieds. Because of its importance this branch developed its own family crest or coat of arms. NFR 2. Joh. Adam Espenschied was b. 12-26-1753 and d. 12-28-1813 at Siefersheim, Germany. NFR 3. Maria Barbara Espenschied was b. 2-7-1755. NFR 4. Joh. Henrich Espenschied was b. 6-11-1758. NFR 5. Joh. Valentine Espenschied was b. 7-13-1760 at Siefersheim, Ger, emigrated to the port of Phila. Pa. in 1787, settled later in the vicinity of Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pa. and is the progenitor of one branch of Espenschieds in that vicinity, that are now widely distributed throughout the U.S. 6. Joh. Peter Espenschied was b. 4-20-1763 at Siefersheim, Ger, emigrated in 1787 to the port of Phila, Pa. He was m. to Elizabeth Howry of Strasburg, Pa., she having been at the time the widow of John LeFevre. 7. Joh. Daniel Espenschied was b. 8-11-1765 at Siefersheim, Germany, emigrated to, arriving at the port of Phila. Pa. 10-14-1787. He was m. to Elizabeth LeFevre, sister to John LeFevre who m. Elizabeth Howry. He settled on LeFevre acres in Paradise Twp. Lanc. Co. Pa, on a farm that adjoined that of his brother, Peter. The written record of his arrival at the port of Phila. is found in Strassburger and Hinke, pub. in 1934. V.3, p.28 where he is listed as Daniel Spenscheld, arrived at the port of Phila. Pa. from Rotterdam, 10-14-1787, Serverus Dalsted, Master, Ship Dorothea. He is the only one of the three immigrant brothers for whom a record of arrival has been found.
