Ray et al: I spent some time looking through my olde Londonderry Township 'stuff', and don't recall a single mention of the Ebbecke name; one Ebbe was spotted on an old map, but nothing else. There are several McCanns clans in Londonderry, but I have no history on any of them. Keep looking Ray. And thanks for inquiring - Charlie Fies Ray Marino wrote: > May I add myself to this? His wife was Catherine FREY or FRY. They married in Baltimore, MD in 1796. I don't know if there is a connection, but thought it was at least worth asking about. I do know that Johan had 6 acres in Londonderry, that he was a teacher of German and English. His daughter Sarah married Michael McCann and lived in Middleton, and son Charles married Mary Gross, settling in nearby Elizabethtown. Do you think there is a possible connection?-- CHARLES EARL FIES -- Fies Family Fotos <http://home.att.net/~chasfies/> BABB - HARTMAN <http://home.att.net/~chasfies/Babbs.html> DAUPHIN CO. Charlie, I very much appreciate you looking - Thank You. What little I have, other than the listing in the census records, comes from the 1890 Will of James Lynch: "He also mentioned a "small tract of land" known as Ebbecke's land," 7 acres of chestnut timber and pasture land, fenced with post and rail fences." This tract , adjoining land of Jacob Oldweiler, Mr. Weaver, and the River Road, he valued at $600." This line is related through marriage to the Lynch family.
