    2. Jay: Delighted to receive your message! The name Osmond appears in some DAR lineage papers. I ran across the name while working on the Goodlander family. I also was checking some FTM CDs, church records, I believe. I do remember the original reference was in Bucks County. I will try to go back to the CDs later tonight and also list what is found on the linage records. I can see Mary Osmond listed (four times) on the records I have right before me. I think we're in business! Hope to get back with tonight. Rita

    3. Rita, Thanks for the response. We (myself and several other Osman researchers) have been frustratred for years in our inability to local the parents of 5 Osman males who show up in Upper Dauphin Co. in c1785. We have had our collective eye on John Osmond of Bucks Co. for awhile as a possible connection. We did not know his wifes name until you sent it in todays email to the list, if indeed we are talking about the same man. But I have only ever seen one John Osmond of the timeframe of the mid to late 1700s in Bucks Co. We have seen several spelling variants, but believe it to be the same guy. Are you aware of Capt. John Osman (sea captain) of Philadelphia? On the Goodlanders...I will get together what I have on them in the Central PA area. I think it quite the coincidence that the one connection I have, being Daniel Osman marrying a Goodlander and you having a Goodlander male marrying an Osmond bares looking into.
