    1. [PADAUPHI] Oaths of Allegiance to State of PA (Rev. War)
    2. Pat Doster
    3. Hello List - Need some advice. If I am looking for Philip Carl Schenckel/Shenkel name on list of persons who took Oath of Allegiance to State of PA, where should I look? I've looked on two CDs: (a) Penn. Archives, 2nd Series, Vol. III: "Names of Persons who took Oath of Alleg to PA" (b) CD #512 FTM "Gen Records: PA Colonial Records" Shenkel/Shinkle descendants say they've found a citation for the Oath taken by Carl Schenckel of Lancaster Co PA, Heidelberg Twp, on 22 June 1778. Q: Where would I find list of men who took Oath of Alleg. in 1778? many thanx for any suggestions, Pat D. in NC

    1. [PADAUPHI] Query about getting info from Balwin Cemetery
    2. About twelve years ago I tried to ask for information on my ancestors at the Baldwin Cemetery and was told the new owners wanted to charge about 90 dollars per query. Can any one tell me if this is still the case? I have some information I am looking for regarding a Jacob Davis b 26 Jul 1836 d. 25 Dec 1836 and his wife, Susan, b. about 1838 died Mar 1887 who are buried there. Their son married my relative, Emma Triece. It would mean a lot to me to find out about this. thanks. Kathy B in Las Vegas

    3. There is no longer a cemetery in that location. All of the downtown cemeteries were closed, and the remains of white persons were reinterred at Harrisburg Cemetery in the 1850's. I'm not sure where the African American reinterrments took place, although it appears they may have been taken to the Wesley Union AME cemetery which was then located near 17th Street at the bypass. The reinterrment of all bodies took several years and was generally finished by 1858. -----Original Message----- From: Charles E.
