    2. Connie, I was able to buy a death certificate for my gggrandfather, Henry J. BEYERLE at the Department of Vital Records in Elkhart, the county seat. The phone book shows the address as: 315 S 2nd, Elkhart. Ph. 523-2205 When I got his death certificate, I went to:608 Oakland Ave., Elkhart. The phone book I have may be an old one. I was there in about 1997/8 and the book is a 1995 issue. BOB

I have gotten some info from the Elkhart County courthouse, but they told me they have nothing on George RHOADS, whom I believe died in Goshen. I have many relatives buried in Oak Ridge cemetery, and I even visited there once, but unfortunately, that was before I was really interested in the family history. Connie

    2. George RHOADS - Susan LINGLE My great-great-grandfather, George RHOADS, was born 20 Aug 1826 in PA, and married Susan LINGLE in 1849. She was born 20 Jan 1828 in Linglestown. I found them on the 1850 PA Federal Census, in Lower Paxton Township, living with one son and a Susan LINGLE, age 60, who is probably Susan's mother. They had seven children: Samuel, William, John, Myron (my gr-grandfather), George, Anna, and Albert. The family moved to Ohio in the 1850's, and much later to Elkhart County, Indiana. I would like to know if anyone is researching this Rhoads-Lingle line, and especially if anyone has any info about George or Susan's parents. Regards, Connie Munick

    1. [PADAUPHI] Anyone have a scan of this LITHOGRAPH? Etc.
    2. Vincent Summers
    3. "Attempt to Burn John Harris in the Year 1720" This is a lithograph that the family of my distant relative, Bucher AYRES, the oldest brother of George Bucher AYRES and son of William AYRES of Harrisburg, donated to the Historical Society. Apparently, I am thinking, it was the last copy available! It is mentioned in EGLE's Notes & Queries. I am learning a lot about this fellow. And, marvel of marvels, believe it or not! I found a photo of he and his wife on the web, available to a family member. For the two, I paid $52. They should arrive tomorrow or the next day. Also, I found a great fellow who had a copy of Bucher AYRES' "History of the Stewart Family." His wife's mother was a STEWART, dating back to the Royal House of Stewart... Unfortunately, the copy of the brochure had annotations all mixed in, and confusing the original booklet, by one Minnehaha FINNEY. I am hoping someone will have a copy that is older than that, lacking her interference, even if well intended, by an intelligent person. Yes, she was educated, and she was an authoress. She was from Sterling, Kansas, and she was a Stewart descendant. But she did the unforgivable. She tampered with a document of another. And without totally annotating her moves! At any rate, all help will be much appreciated. I intend to make this available, including scans of Bucher and Jane Alice Lyon AYRES, to the public, free of charge, perhaps on USGenWeb... Thanks, Vincent E. Summers
