My meager information has been enhanced only slightly by researching Masonic Lodge records: JAMES YOUNG served as Treasurer in 1871-1872 of Prince Edwin Lodge. His son JAMES S. YOUNG served as Worshipful Master in 1883 Another son, DELANSON J. YOUNG, was their first Masonic Funeral service on April 2nd, 1872. R. I. YOUNG's first name was REDSECKER, after his mother Ann's maiden name. And the original posting, quoted in full to refresh all memories, is truly the only thing I know about this YOUNG family. According to the book I have on the holdings of newspapers at the PA State Library in Harrisburg, they have the Steelton REPORTER on microfilm from June 6, 1882 through December 1912. If you are not in the area, you should be able to access them through Interlibrary Loan. Hope this helps.
