I met with the cemetery board at one of their meetings about 2 years ago, and I believe they they indicated that the old records of the cemetery were gone. I don't know about the newer records. Karl Fox - do you remember what they said? Janice Buffington

My Shriners Fez is red, but the one you have certainly sounds like a Shriner's. I am not familiar with the markings. The fez also sounds old. Keep checking, I'm almost positive you are right about it being Masonic in nature. Bob Sheetz
I am looking for information on Jacob Crowel Weyant m. 1888 Myrtle Anna Young and Ephraim Weyant m. 1860 to Catherine Susan Bowers.

There is a picture of an ancestor, Michael Clem, 1832-1899, who is wearing a tie tack of a crescent with a star inside the crescent. Someone has said it is from an organization called, "Grotto." I also have a black fez that belonged to another Clemm relative that is marked KORAZ 204. The emblem has a tiger's head in the center, two crescents with stars inside on the left, and completing the circle on the right are the initials, D.O.K.K. I suspect these are somehow affiliated with Shriners, Masons, or something of that nature. Could any of the list members shed any light on this and where could I get information on past members? Thank you, Donna
Does anybody know who to contact regarding Hanoverdale Cem. records? Is there a web site or e-mail address for E-town College library?

Would anyone know names and location of any Presbyterian Church's in Steelton 1897-1900's? Looking for WINDLE' COFFIN surnames.
Trying to find which cemetery Decatur Harrison COFFIN is buried in, I think it would be in Harrisburg, he had a business on Herr St. also looking for his wife after 1863.
Searching for possible descendants of Maggie FRIESE who was living at 2207 Berry Hill in Harrisburg in 1906. She is mentioned as a descendant of Abraham STUMP in a genealogy written by Hulda STUMP(F), dated between 1892 and 1906. This family may have a Bible which was a source for Hulda STUMP's work. Also listed is a Harry HAWK of Shippensburg. "Harry" or Henry HAWK died in 1905 and was a brother of my great grandfather, James B. HAWK. My HAWK line descends from Elizabeth STUMP, daughter of Michael STUMP of Letterkenny Twp. in Franklin Co. Elizabeth m. Jacob HAWK who was my ggg grandfather. Jacob's son John S. was the father of Henry and James B. Does this ring any bells with any FRIESE's out there? -- Bill Hawk

Over the summer I became active on thePADAUPHI list, researching and documenting dozens and dozens of burial sites here. Got a bunch of leads on spouse ancestors here, and shared many with other interested researchers. Several of the ancestors sprang up in olde Lancaster county records, originally coming from what is now Berks county, like the SCHWARTZ/SWARTZ and YOUNG families. Seems like the FEES/FIES line is still the elusive one and not revealing too much here of late. Solomon RITZ born ca 1780-85; died before 4 Sep. 1820; married to Mary WISE in 1808 in MD. There were so many RITZ's in PA we suspect Solomon's father & mother were either in PA. or had moved from PA. to MD. Or Solomon may have crossed the state lines. Anyone researching RITZ name that may have a connection to Solomon, my gr. gr. gr. grandfather? Need Solomon's parents names or any information that might be of some help. Thank you.
