Charles, I have the entire book of the Brinser family from the time Christian, the original settler stepped off the boat named Loyal Judith in 1740 at the age of 32. Audrey Risser who lives in Elizabethtown Pa.has it also on her computer, I am a descendant of Catherine Brinser sister of Matthias the founder of the Children of God Church, and grandchildren of Christian. Their father was named John. Audrey's e-mail is AGRisser @aol.com. May I help you with any questions Carol in Ga.
In reference to your Eshenauer inquiry I thought your might find this interesting: Marriage Record Of Rev. Van-Hoff - This register is most likely also from the Bindnagle Church of Lebanon County formerly of Dauphin Co., PA 4/24/1831 - Christian Eshenower & Magdalena Ehresman of Swatara Twp Dauphin CO. 9/20/1832 - Jacob Eshenour & Catharine Bishop Swatara Twp. Dauphin Co. Swatara Twp. Dauphin Co. is the area North of Oberlin, PA. Closer to Harrisburg, PA. There are Brookwood Streets in the area and there used to be a dairy by that name there also. There are quite a few Eshenowers living in the Harrisburg, PA area. In 1915 there was an Eshenauers Grocery Store on the square in Oberlin, Pa operated by Ernest E. Eshenaur. Ernest is buried in Churchville Cemetery which is right behind the store. Karl Fox

H. Egle's Notes and Queries. Do you know that he has MANY engravings from olde Lancaster County, including Dauphin County, headstones that were dread by others years before him? The Smith ancestors will require many details to pin-point your ancestors, if they are recorded in his writings......which I just checked, and they aren't there. thanks so much. I had previously heard that a group of United Brethren had gone from Dauphin Co. to Louesa Co. Iowa which is where our Books family was before Nebraska. However I had yet to connect them to the United Brethren. I am just beginning to put together such pieces and you have provided a valuable piece of the puzzle. ----- Original Message ----- From: Charles E. Hi, I've been a lurker, but I'm interested in the above CD. Before I would purchase it, I was wondering if it goes back to 1800. I have my Singer family who were born 1803 & 05, but they moved to Ohio by 1833. However one member of the family, Susan Singer did marry Balser Motter (Matter) in 1846 who was from Dauphin Co., so I'm thinking the rest of the family may of been there. I know they were from PA but not where. Father's name was John D. Singer, mother Catherine? Married before 1828 as that's when Susan was born. Other children born in PA were Catherine, John A. Singer. Thanks for any leads you may be able to give me. That family name is scattered throughout olde Lancaster County, including new Dauphin County, and they were engaged in businesses such as Millers (BRINSER'S Corn Meal), furniture making (BRINSER'S CRADLE FACTORY), and ministering both bodily and spiritually, as DOCTOR BRINSER), as well as educational institutions from one-room-school houses to various colleges (such as BRINSER HALL in Elizabethtown College).
