Dawn, I do not have this in my data base, but I have a large book that I can check. However, some dates would greatly benefit me, as this is a hand search, with no index. Dates will help me skip over large amounts of data. I also see the name Bowman on your list. This book also contains Bowman info, if you want me to check that also. Interestingly, the author of this book is Edward Bowman Espenshade, lol. Let me know. Yvonne
I find these stories quite interesting. They help to color a picture of a community at a particular time. Rita

(snip, snip) One more time: Uploaded two photos of the olde Presbyterian graveyard reinterments in the Middletown Cemetery, including a close-up of HENRY CRABB. The photos are large, take about a minute each to download, so you can save and use the uncompressed version. I'll go back and compress them after you saved them for your use. Shot about 20 pics, of the others reintered with the Crabbs, Russells, McCammons, etc. Anyone wanting copies of these will have to ask, since I did not include them on the page at: Forgotten Cemeteries <http://home.att.net/~charliefies/Forgotten.html> -- Regards, with regrets to Netscape6 users (what a mess!) Thank you. > > Thank you again, both of you. > > Regards, > Marsha Berry::}~ Thank you for your kind comments and great questions. I wish only that I had great answers on your ancestors, but can help out slightly. In the "Chronicles of Middletown", C. H. Hutchinson in 1906 wrote in great details much of the town's history. For instance, the Presbyterian graveyard passed through many owners, including, on June 7 1802, WILLIAM CRABB, among others (page 18, C of M). He further writes, in 1906,....."We have no data, however, respecting any church organization prior to 1850. The records are lost, having probably been among the private papers of some one of the original members, who are all dead." My records indicate I photographed your ancestor's obelisks on a very cold January 18, 2001; hence the snow (couldn't show the cold!) Not too much unlike the day I checked out the EBY's for Carolyn. The January 29th photos of the Presbyterian graveyard show only a monument, probably a bird-bath from the more recent past, but no tombstones were visible through the undergrowth, and no records found on them as of now. I'll keep it in my ongoing research. Forgotten Cemeteries <http://home.att.net/~charliefies/Forgotten.html> -- Regards, with regrets to Netscape6 users (what a mess!) So if he was born in Steelton PA where else would I look? If any one can help thanks. William Decatur WINDLE January 13,1898 Mother Jennie COFFIN father? Isaac Harrison WINDLE SANSOM is a possibly?
