    3. Karl et al: Let me put in another plug for "EGLE'S Notes and Queries" CD #19, from Family Tree Maker, costing just $9.99 plus $5 shipping UPS Ground: Mumma Family Re-interred at Shope's Meeting House (continued) In 1897 Egle reports on the reinterrment of John and Elizabeth, and gives a brief story on the death of four Mumma sisters between the ages of 10 and 15, all dying of Scarlet Fever in 1862. See my note on the bottom of: <http://home.att.net/~charliefies/Swartz.html> It is this type of interesting (to me at least) material that keeps me reading and reading. Now I'm STILL looking for the reason so many Army soldiers died in 1933, as buried in at least one Dauphin County cemetery. Too bad Egle wasn't still around! 1. [PADAUPHI] AYRESBURG? A Tract of Land...
    2. Vincent Summers
    3. Does anyone know anything about this tract of land, called AYRESBURG? Here is a tiny excerpt from the Commemorative Encyclopedia of Dauphin County, being put online by Bob Maley... AYRES, JOHN, son of William Ayres and his wife Mary Kean, was born February 9, 1754. At the age of twenty-one years, accompanied his father and family in their movement to Paxtang township, Lancaster, now Dauphin county, Pa.; subsequently became the owner of the homestead there established, and added thereto a certain tract of land called "Ayresburg." I believe I have seen some reference somewhere that referred to this tract, and may have mentioned some AYRES who I had not thought was connected to my line (whereas this proves there must have been some connection!). Thanks, Vince Summers
