    2. Are the Zimmermans in Dauphin Co related to those in Tulpehocken Co PA in 1750's? It is believed the Johann Wohlfarth's wife Agatha was a ZIimmerman. Their son George WOLFORD's first wife was Elizabeth Zimmerman. Jim Avery

    3. Margie, I am an active Zimmerman researcher. Someone else posted a Peter Zimmerman md Mary Magdelene Beane and they had a son Peter Zimmerman b March 4, 1763. The elder Peter Zimmerman came to America in 1739 with a brother Gottfried and a sister Isabella. I am a descendendent of this line and will gladly exchange info with you of anyone else working this line. 2. Hello Margie: Know Zimmerman was a popular name but just wanted to pass along that on one of the census I copied in the 1810 PA. census of Dauphin, Fayette and Franklin counties there is a George Zimmerman with a household of 10. In the 1820 census of Lebanon County - Heidelberg Township there is a "Widow" (no first name) Zimmerman with household of 2. Also a John Zimmerman with a household of 9. Don't know if this are yours or will help but just wanted to pass it along. Ahlive

    3. Margie, I am not researching Zimmerman, but I put the following together a few months ago when I was trying to sort out some families in the Bindnagle's area. I don't know whether the Johan Adam here (b 1757) is the same as the one you mention, but FWIW here it is: Descendants of Unknown Zimmerman 0 Unknown Zimmerman 1 Michael Zimmerman b: May 01, 1725 in Durlach, Baden d: April 01, 1805 +Anna Hoenig 2 Hannah Zimmerman b: June 15, 1752 d: December 09, 1806 +Tobias Stoever b: February 11, 1751 m: April 21, 1772 3 Eve Catharine Stoever b: January 02, 1778 3 Anna Mary Stoever b: December 02, 1779 3 Christina Stoever b: October 20, 1781 3 Elizabeth Stoever b: October 24, 1783 3 Magdalene Stoever b: November 19, 1785 3 John Stoever b: January 19, 1788 3 Anna Margaret Stoever b: March 04, 1791 2 Johannes Zimmerman b: April 11, 1756 +Anna Margaret Minnick b: May 24, 1756 3 Elizabeth Zimmerman b: May 27, 1781 3 John Zimmerman b: January 15, 1783 3 Michael Zimmerman b: December 09, 1784 3 Margaret Zimmerman b: February 08, 1788 3 John-Jacob Zimmerman b: October 19, 1790 2 Johan-Adam Zimmerman b: October 26, 1757 2 Eva-Katharina Zimmerman b: May 09, 1761 2 Godfried Zimmerman b: October 05, 1763 d: February 08, 1853 +Anna Maria (Zimmerman) b: July 11, 1772 d: February 18, 1849 3 Michael Zimmerman b: April 05, 1797 d: December 25, 1868 2 Maria-Elizabeth Zimmerman b: August 11, 1767 1 Peter Zimmerman +Mary Magdelene Beane 2 Peter Zimmerman b: March 04, 1763 3 Henry Zimmerman 1 Gottfried Zimmerman 1 Isabella Zimmerman margie wrote: > > To all of you who responded to my request on the Zimmerman name. > > Yes, the Zimmerman families listed by all of you are the ones I am looking for - I think ! > > Christian s/o Adam s/o Adam s/o Johan F was the father of Johan Adam C. b Feb 20, 1828. <snip> > I would appreciate any more information anyone has on this family. 2. Hi Linnea, Thanks for your response:) I remeber passing a white older church on the left side going south. This cemetary sits on the right side and is blocked off by chains. There is a u road that runs along the farm and the cemetary sits off into the field. The road has a bunch of junk along it. I think thats why its closed because of vandels. I hope this helps a little. Thanks cricket

    3. To all of you who responded to my request on the Zimmerman name. Yes, the Zimmerman families listed by all of you are the ones I am looking for - I think ! Christian s/o Adam s/o Adam s/o Johan F was the father of Johan Adam C. b Feb 20, 1828. His son Adam married the sister of my gr gr grandmother, Louisa Alleman. Louisa's death noticed states that she was buried from the home of R.A. Zimmerman in Millersburg. Johan Adam C. had 2 sons who could fit this discription. Romanus Asher 1860 and Ruffus A 1874. I would like to know why she was buried from there and more info on the family. I am guessing it was Romanus Asher as my gr grandfather's name was Romanus Asberry. Another sister of Louisa's married an Enders. This seems to tie all these families together. I would appreciate any more information anyone has on this family. Thank you for your past responses. Margie

    2. Have found, as you folks have, that the CD does only search by surname and uses phonics in such a manner that it will direct to names of similar spellings. That is an asset, but may try one's patience. Still, wouldn't be without it! Rita in TX

If anyone has figured out a way to search for a specific word other then a surname please let us know. 3. Patricia, what Books are you researching in Dauphin Co. My ancestor John Conrad Books left Dauphin Co late 1860s to 70s. His father was Henry Books (born about 1790) but can find little info.
