While I NO LONGER live in Dauphin County, I've spent a good many hours visiting the various BERKS CO. locations in search of my ancestors. I had no idea there were so many BABBs there, since I couldn't locate ANY connections! Your reference to a book on BABB & KEMMERER is interesting - where can I see it? All I can contribute to your specific request is that there are references to Briligam/Bridigan families in Kelker's 1907 "History of Dauphin County". I don't have a copy available to me right now, but you might look there. I also have Briligam/Bridigan/Brautigam/Braeutigan relatives from Dauphin/Lancaster county area back to the mid 1700's, but I haven't come across your names. I have a copy of Eagle's notes that I paid the full price for a year ago. There were no instructions with it either. I am using FTM ver 6 and the CD is almost automatic. I have not tried to open it outside of FTM. Just click on the CD in the command line and an index screen comes up. click on the box that says search expert and have fun. I click on the box that says search for some NOT in my family file. You get more results that way. The fine print on my CD says that you need FTM 3.02 or higher for windows or version 3.03 or hinger Family Archive Viewer. J. Ray Young
Looking for any one that is searching the KEISTER name. I am looking to find John B. KEISTER, I believe he resided in Dauphin Co. Pa, Harrisburg area. He was married to Catherine JUDY, (born June 1830) and had 4 children. I found a John B. KEISTER (age 50) in the 1860 census in SW Middletown Dauphin Co. Pa, Catherine was not listed with him. Listed is John J. (age 8), Ann M. (age 4) and Leah Neiman (age 31). Ann M. could be Minnie that I found in the 1870 census Middletown Boro, with Catherine, age of Minnie 14. Others listed; William (age 13), Sherman (age 5) & Harry (age 2). I don't know when John died, according to the Harrisburg, Pa Directory 1887-1890, Catherine was a widow. According to the 1900 census 3 of her children were deceased, she was enumerated with her son Harry in Harrisburg City. Catherine was still alive in 1910; she was 80 years old. I also had a search done in New Castle and they have no record of her death. I am trying to locate when & where they are buried. I have contacted the numerous cemeteries in the Harrisburg area and the response has been negative. Any suggestions as to where to go now will be greatly appreciate. Thank you Shirley

Hi All just testing have not received any posts and had puter trouble... Thanks , Penny
Jim, Are you talking about the Wolfords in Centre/Clinton Counties? The historian at Bindnagles told us that a group of people from there went to either Centre or Clinton County to start a church. I don't have my notes here now but I will look up exactly where they went if you want. I have corrected the oversight, and you can see it now. I think you'll be glad you did, especially if you have Pennsylvania SHELLYS on your tree. I believe it is interesting even for those non-SHELL(e)Y genealogists, like myself. I was truly impressed with the stories and pictures after I became aware of TWO cemeteries on the Susquehanna River Islands. I've lived in the area since the '30s and visited the islands many times, not knowing they were there. Enjoy, and again, thanks for calling the link error to my attention. -- Regards, with regrets to Netscape6 users (what a mess!)
