    3. I drove through this cemetery for the first time. I don't have any relatives in this cemetery as far as I know. The cemetery had an enchanting ambience (sp) about it. I'd love to put it online. Does anyone know where the records would be? Judy __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! 3. Can someone give me directions on where I can find the following records? Warrantees of Land, County of Dauphin. Smith and Beatty, in trust...111 acres...4 April, 1792. According to the foreword, the indexed information leads to the original record book in the Land Office of the Department of Internal Affairs. Where is the Land Office located, and how do I contact them? Maybe someone has a copy of the original records. Mark McOmber@Montana.com

    2. Charles Fies Retired
    3. Sue, Michael Rose, et al::}~ The STONER ancestors are very elusive, perhaps for reasons elaborated on by SAMUEL S. WENGER, as published in the January 1988 issue of the Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage. His article, entitled "An Essay on the STONER / STEINER Families of Pennsylvania", contains numerous references to source data and reflects 50 years of searching. He goes on to point out another reason making tracing individuals difficult is the repetitious naming conventions such as Abraham, Jacob, Henry, Christian and John, most of which are found on EVERY branch of STONERs / STEINERs. There are dozens of them referenced throughout his STONER essay. Subsequently, the more I traced the lines the more confused I became, sure of only one thing: I don't know who my wife's ancestors were! If you haven't seen this essay, perhaps you could still get a copy of it from the Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage. Regards, with regrets to Netscape6 users (what a mess!) 1. [PADAUPHI] Stoner Families
    2. For those that are researching the Stoner Families. We had an Uncle, Harold P. Stoner who was married to Pearl Anna Eshenour on Xmas Day 1931. Harold and Pearl lived on Somerset St. in Rutherford Hgts. I think that his family was originally from Ohio, but he had a brother, I think named Kenneth who lived in the Harrisburg area. There was also a Christian H. Stoner..Maybe that was their Father? I will see if I can find out more for you.
