I have Mary _______ who married __________ Woods and had William Thomas born abt 1833 in Clermont County, OH; Samuel was born about 1837 in Clermont County, OH and Elizabeth J was born about 1840 in Clermont County, OH. I need to find the name of Mary's husband, who was a Woods and Mary's maiden name. Mary was from PA. The family of Micah Woods who married Hester Bowman lived in the next county (Brown County, OH). I am thinking that somehow Mary's husband is related to Micah's family. Micah was from Cumberland County, PA. Any help would sincerely be appreciated.

Have you tried the OHCLERMO list to see if you can learn more about these names? Clermont Co marriages are complete except for one book, which appears to be earlier than your marriage of Mary to Unknown Woods. If you try the Clermont list, Hermon Fagley and others will have good suggestions and information. I'd try to find more about Hester Bowman. Some Bowmans came with Pences and Zerkles to Adams/Brown. They were formerly from the Shenandoah area of VA. Bowman is also one of the Brethren (German Baptist or Dunker) surnames. You might search the Archives of the BRETHREN list for a Hester Bowman. There were also some Brethren congregations in and around Cumberland Co, but I don't know enough about their locations to recommend how to research them.
