Bobby, I looked farther, the map on page 30, c. 1837, also shows a cemetery at Oyster Point- It is on the Carlisle (SW?) side of 32nd. Isn't that under a Pier One or some drug store now? Ame
Yes, Pier 1 is the oldest of the two building and the CVS Pharmacy was just built two years ago. The lady that knew this area well passed away, who lived across the street from me, but I'll check further as to the move of the bodies from the cemetery. I have lived in this area for about 35 years and have done research for 55. At present I have about 218,500 names in my database and add new names almost every day.
