I just found a relative in the 1790 US Federal Census in Cumberland Co. PA. I'm new to this and am hoping that someone can tell me what the columns immediately following the individual's name represent. Is it household information i.e., free white males over 16, free white males under 16, and free white females? Also, does anyone know where Tyborn Twp. is/was? Trevor
Hi Tevor and Fellow Listers: I don't have the 1790 Census form in front of me - so I can't say for sure what you wrote is correct or not but feel sure you are. Maybe someone else does and can answer. I feel pretty certain that your Tyborn Twp. is actually Tyrone Twp., now Perry County. What names are you searching for???? Best Wishes... Donna HELLER ZINN of Newville, Cumberland Co., PA. Could be either Toboyne or Tyrone twps. both existed in 1790. Right next to each other Toboyne north of Mifflin Twp and Tyrone north of Frankford. > > I feel pretty certain that your Tyborn Twp. is actually Tyrone Twp., now > Perry County. > -- joe
