Does anyone have any maps that would show land ownership for Mechanicsburg and the surrounding areas? I'm looking for land that belonged to: HEIGLEY / THUMMA / WOLF Also I'm looking for any old map that may show the old cemetery that sat on West Street on the end of Mechanicsburg... I'm also interested in the Trindle Springs area...as that is where I believe the Heigley family and Thumma family owned land.... I'm not sure where the Wolf family owned...but I know they did.... thanks....Susan

The 1858 Atlas, available from CCHS has 2 Thummas, both apparently in Frankford, 30 Wolfs, none in Mechanicsburg or Silver Spring,but 3 in Monroe; no Heigleys. Is this the right time period? This map dos not go farther west than the Hogestown Road. My modern map shows that West Street which is now in Mechanicsburg was in either Upper Allen or Monroe township at that time. Possibly Silver Spring.
