You can contact the cemetary at : East Harrisburg Cemetary, 2260 Herr Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103 or at 717-233-6789. The lady in the office was very helpful to me with my research. You might have to pay a small fee for a copy. She gave me a copy of the gravesite, certificate to open the grave, and those relatives in the family plot. The info also had next of kin, cause of death and the type of casket and marker. Not all graves have this info, especially the older ones but some of the relatives in mid 1930's did have this info. Good luck on your search. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ame Willis Ivanov" <ame@alaska.net> To: <PACUMBER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2002 8:31 PM Subject: [PACUMBER] Harrisburg cemeteries > I know it's on the other side of the river, but does anyone know where I can find information on burials in the Harrisburg Cemetery, or the East Harrisburg Cemetery? I did not see either one in the PAGenWeb archives. I am looking for a fairly recent burial, probably the 1950's. Thanks for the ideas Amy and Cheryl. I will try for a death certificate and see if the cemetery can help. One of my problems is uncertainty about last my great aunt's last name at death, but a cousin remembers a burial in Harrisburg: I was there, but too young to recall where.
