Did this John Watson move to Laurens Co., SC by 1784 when he was granted land on Duncan's Creek in Laurens County? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Concerning your Watson family... did any of them marry into the Gilbert family from Shippensburg area... Hopewell, Newburg, etc? I have a Susannah Watson who married a Henry Gilbert around 1840. Trying to trace Gilbert/Watson connection.
