I see that your post was back in 1999 for Peter Brown. I was wondering if you may have found any info on him. I just started my family tree last November 2001. My name is Sylvia Irene Brown-Stewart from Reading , Berks Co; Pa. I was born and raised southeastern Pa. in the town of Connellsville, Pa Fayette County. I've been also looking for my Grt-Grt-Grandfather Peter Brown married to a Rachel ------?.not sure when he was born but just an estimate birth around the 1840-50's. At the time of my Grt-Grandparents, Harrison Brown & Ida Belle Mitchell marriage in the year 1894 - Peter & Rachel are listed as the parents of Harrison. Now Harrison was 24 yrs old at this time so he'd be born 1870. I have no other siblings for Peter except Harrison. I can't seem to find Peter or Rachel anywhere else except on the Marriage application for Harrison & Ida. It says Harrison's place of birth was in North Union Twp. which is around Uniontown . Pa F! ayette; Co, Pa. I was wondering if maybe Peter could have been married before and if maybe he could have liked to travel since I haven't been able to find him on any of the census so far. Could he be the Peter your looking for also. Could he have kcame back to Pa. and settled in North Union Twp. which is further east than Cumberland County, Pa.Also My Brown's are supposed to be from Ireland and also have Scotish Blood.
