I am trying to locate the parents of my Josiah (or Isaiah) Stevens (b. bet. 1790-1800) as well as the maiden name of his wife Ruth. I have found Josiah in the 1850 census of Huntington Twp. with his wife Ruth. In the 1860 and 1870 censuses there is an Isaiah Stevens with wife Ruth. There is also an Isaiah Stevens listed in the 1810, 1830, and 1840 censuses in Adams Co. My records indicate that the marriage of my Lydia Stevens to Edward Menges gives Lydia's parents as Josiah and Ruth Stevens. Finally, a Judith Stevens, wife of Josiah Stevens died on 2/16/1879, aged 84 years. If anyone can shed any light on my Josiah/Isaiah Stevens, it would be greatly appreciated.
