Hello, I'm trying to learn more about Christian Deal/Dale and his life in Cumberland Co. In 1790 he was enumerated on p 79 in Cumberland Co in the combined pages for Hopewell, Newton, TYBORN, and Westpensboro. On March 1804 his will was presented for probate. It mentions wife Martha, sons Christian, Paul, Peter, and Daniel and daughters Martha and Christiana. Executors were Daniel Dale and John Miller. Witnesses were Thomas Simonton, Daniel Lower, and Mathias Best. He was reportedly from TYRONE township. I understand boundaries changed from the formation of the county, so I may not know enough to determine where he actually lived in 1790 and 1804. Was "Tyborn" Toboyne or Tyrone? Is it just a misprint? And is there a good site for looking up land entries for early Cumberland Co? Sharon Mills
