I am trying to find information on John and Maria BUTTS. The 1850 census shows them as BUTZ living in Cumberland County in Shippensburg Township with children: James, age 23, John age 21, Mary, age 18, Sarah, age 15, Margaret, (b. 1837), Amelia Frances, (b. 12/14/1840), and Robert, age 6. John moved to Delaware County, Ohio, with his wife at least some of his children as he is on the 1860 Delaware City census as BUTTS with wife, Martha (this may be Maria), his daughter Margaret, and son Robert. Amelia was listed as wife to Amelzer MCELROY in Delaware City in 1860. James is listed with his wife and children in Delaware township in 1860.
