Since I wasn't checking for Simmons I agree that you might be onto something. Josias 's will in Ohio County lists a James and Robert Brown as witnesses to his will and William Faris I believe. I have been away from my genealogy for a few months, too busy, and I want to check the information you sent. In those same dockets it lists Josiah Sr. and Josiah the younger. I know it doesn't mean necessarily father and son, but it appears there were two and of different generations.
