I was delighted to see that you are researching the Highlands and Peebles surnames in Cumberland County. Hopefully you can help me learn more about my great grand mother Elizabeth Highlands (1861-1839) who was the wife of Milton Huber Brandt and the daughter of Alexander Peebles Highlands and Margaret Slough. I believe that she was the grand daughter of William Highlands and Elizabeth Peebles. All of the above were in South Hampton Township or Shippensburg. Does any of this match with your Family Tree?
