Born: 1752, Ireland. Died:1823, Westmoreland County, PA. Could someone please tell me where I could find information about the Cumberland County Militia during the Revolution. I do not know where to begin searching for church records (Presbyterian), would there have been tax records available prior to 1790 for the area? He married: Margaret Gordon and Margaret Campbell and I can't find marriage records for either marriage. He appears in the 1790 Census in Westmoreland County.
