George, father of John m Elizabeth Eckert. IF George is the George in my line, he is likely the son of John Christian Simons, who also wound up in Tyrone Twp, later Landisburg when it was incorporated (abt 1820). So IF this is the same Simons family, then you might also look for related Eckerts in Landisburg area. I am interested because I have a Simons further back in another line that I am wondering if might connect to these Simons. If true, it would suggest a Simons track coming from Colebrook, thru Albany, Ulster then south into Dauphin/Lancaster and finally into the Landisburg area where they were during most of the 1800s. Family legend has my later Simons as charter members of Landisburg area DAR (yet TBD). The father of my Geo Sr, (whether or not John Christian) would likely have been born around the time of the Am Rev... Realize this is about SIMONS...but if families migrated together, these details might be clues for places to look... Jackie
