    3. "Chronicles of Central Pennsylvania" by Frederic A. Godcharles, Litt. D. GEORGE S. WARNER, M. D.--Among the most active of Shippensburg's younger physicians, Dr. George S. Warner has practiced in this community since he began his professional career. He is a native of this State, son of Elmer W. Warner and the late Gertrude Warner. Dr. Warner was born on September 3, 1911, and was educated in Pennsylvania schools. In 1935 he was graduated from Pennsylvania State College, taking the degree of Bachelor of Arts, and subsequently entered Hahnemann Medical College to prepare for his chosen profession. In 1940 he was graduated from this institution with the degree of Doctor of Medicine and after serving his interneship, came to Shippensburg to launch his general practice. Dr. Warner's qualifications for professional service are recognized in the community and his growing practice has brought him increasing responsibilities. He is a member of the County, Pennsylvania State and American Medical associations and other non-professional organizations, including the Lions Club and the University Club. He is active socially and follows with interest the course of community affairs and Shippensburg's civic progress. Dr. Warner is a member of the Presbyterian Church. He married, in Philadelphia, in 1935, Marguerite O'Hara. Dr. and Mrs. Warner have one daughter, Jeanette, now three years old. ===== Judy Warner Bookwalter (Conner Crull Garland Garlin George Goodhart Harglerode Kough/Koch Leighty Morrison Riggleman Smith Warner Zimmerman) I put cemetery stone info on http://www.findagrave.com & obits, marriages, births on http://www.pa-roots.com (click on data boards) __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
