    3. Actually, You may want to check Maryland, because Littlestown is less than 2 miles from the Mason/Dixon line, which did not exist in 1776. I have found many ancestors that lived in PA but are buried in MD. I have spent several hours at the Adams County Historical Society and records go back to Lancaster County (the mother county, not Cumberland County).
