Other items concerning Cumberland Co. may appear in correspondence published in the 1st Series of the published "Pennsylvania Archives" (editor for most of the series was Egle). Also if you'll locate the web site of the (governmental organization) Pennsylvania Archives in Harrisburg, there are links to very lengthy lists of its holdings concerning the various Counties: tax lists, land surveys, militia lists, etc. These lists note what was published in the above **published** "Pennsylvania Archives", by series, volume and pages' numbers. This will enable you to request the right volume(s) via inter-library loan, if you are not near a city that has a library that already has the very extensive published series. Inter-library loan costs a few dollars per volume for a book you can look at over the course usually of 2 weeks. Since these volumes are now over 100 years old, you probably will not be permitted to take one home. Be sure to ask to borrow the *index* book(s) for the series you're looking for! For the 3rd Series it's in 3 volumes.
You have to also go the ARIAS site, which presently has photocopies of the information cards the PHMC (Penn Hist Museum Comm) has for all of their Revolutionary service. Robert Weir appears on http://www.digitalarchives.state.pa.us/archive.asp?view=ArchiveItems&Archive ID=13&FID=596442&LID=596541&FL=W&Page=3 , but the general address is http://www.digitalarchives.state.pa.us/ . The State is paying to have these converted, might as well use them.
