Folks: I forgot to mention that also on Saturday, April 29th at The Harry Lenig Library [aka Perry Historians] at 9:15 a.m. .... the first 5 of the limited edition [of the numbered 300] Vol. IV of The Perry Co. Schoolhouses will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. Vol. IV covers those school houses in New Bloomfield and Carroll and Center Townships. Not only will the author of the school house books, Margaret Roddy Becker be on hand to sign her books, but also several other authors as well. Wayne E. Taylor, author of "Hope on the Tuscarora". A novel based on local historical facts - the destruction of Fort Bigham in the Tuscarora Valley [Juniata Co.) by the Indians on 11-Jun-1756 and captivity and subsequent return of Robert Taylor. Karl Fox, author of "Dauphin County Cemeteries". A GPS and map guide to the many burial grounds in Dauphin County. Ruth Eby whose late husband, Eugene Eby published in 1987 an in-depth study of "Perry County Grist Mills" The Book Signing session will be from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
