Franklin Co. PA is adjacent to Adams Co. PA. Charles Good died in 1823 and was late of Menallen township, Adams County, PA. On 21 April 1828, Thomas C. Miller, Robt. G. Harper, and DAVID ZIEGLER posted a bond of Twenty-five fifteen hundred dollars (yes, that's how it is written) for the administration of George Charles (aka Karl) Good's administration. Thomas C. Miller became the administrator de bonis non, taking over from the previous administrator John Arendt, who died in 1826. I have often wondered what the relationship was, if any, of Thomas C. Miller, Robert Harper, and David Ziegler to Charles Good. John Smith's 1849 Loyalhanna, Westmoreland County, PA will left to his wife Catharine (Katy) the money coming to her from her father's estate and that was being held for her by Peter Waggoner of Adams County PA. Therefore, through the Adams County Historical Society, I hired a volunteer Robert Cluck to do some research for me. He found the administrations and accounting for Charles Good. In addition to John Smith's will mentioning Adams County PA, I had seen a church record for Katar. Guten and others. These included possible variant spellings for Gooden. There were other variant spellings of interest as well. Among other records, I was hoping that Robert Cluck could find a will that mentioned my ggg-grandmother Katy Gooden or mentioned some combination of Katy, her husband John Smith, and Peter Waggoner. So I am also trying to figure out if and how those who posted administration bonds and the administrators were related to Charles Good. Lee Anne . John Smith's parents unknown at this time. . Katy Gooden's strong candidate father was George Charles Good, mentioned above. . John Smith (b. 1771 PA; d. June 1849 PA) m. Katy Gooden (b. 1777 PA; d. perhaps 1850 PA) . Benjamin Smith (b. 1818) m. Jane Stitt (daughter of James Harvey Stitt; James' grandfather William Stitt is said to have died in Franklin Co. PA, although I have not found a will or other probate records for him there) . Michael Harvey Smith (b. 1853 Armstrong Co. PA) m.
