It states that Hiram's mother-in-law is Mary A. NICKEY. Can anyone provide information that supports Emma's surname as NICKEY as correct, or what is her actual maiden surname? What is Emma's father's given name? What is Emma's mother's maiden surname? Finally, what is Emma's mother's maiden surname? Any information you have on any of the above would be very helpful and appreciated. Hiram is my third cousin three times removed. I'm trying to update "A History of the NICKEY Family in America: 1700 A.D. - 1940 A. D.," by Ella Metsker Milligan. If I complete this task the document will not be copyrighted and made available to significant contributors and the Family History Library plus other libraries at my expense. I have the following source information on Hiram NICKEY, much is questionable: (A) The 1800 U.S. Federal Census of Frankford Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania that gives his parents as Israel and Elizabeth NICKEY. (B) The 1900 West Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania that gives his wife as Emma J. NICKEY (b. Feb. 1869 in Pennsylvania), a son Lee M. NICKEY (b. Nov.1893 in Pennsylvania), and his Mother-in-law Mary A. NICKEY (b. Aug. 1847 in Pennsylvania). (C) The 1910 Carlisle Ward 4, Cumberland, Pennsylvania gives Hiram HICKEY and Emma J. HICKey and a second spelling NICKEY (Ancestry.com). (D) A tombstone transcript form St. Peters Cemetery, 210 Brick Church Rd., Newville, Upper Frankford Twp., Cumberland Co., PA 17241 shows "NICKEY, Hiram 1861 - 1921" and "wf, Emma J. 1869 - 1911".
