Thank you, Debra. That 1870 Census showing Daniel as a 7 year old is the one I'm trying to confirm by locating Daniels obituary (22 Aug 1956). It could mention him being predeceased by his parents and/or siblings that I can match to that 1870 record, thereby confirming that Daniel as mine. I did not have those BOWMAN records, thanks ... with so many Bowmans in Cumberland and Dauphin Counties, I thought it better to locate her obit first, also. Bob
