When I do get back to that area of research, it will be useful in sorting out the various lines or Irwin (if you haven't done it first - go right ahead!). Of course the problem with the Scotch-Irish in Pennsylvania is that so many of them came at the same time - 30,000, I have heard, and most between 1740 - 1790, interrupted by the Revolutionary War. The good thing is that they stayed in family groups and groups from the same villages in Northern Ireland.
