We have tried to work the Irwin/Irvin lines before and never found anything. I have a Maria Irwin who married James W. Hunter in Miami County, Ohio in 1843. She was said to be born in Ireland in 1823, the daughter of John Irwin and Fanny Nelson. James Hunter was born in Ohio, to parents from what is now Perry County, Pennsylvania. A large group of Scotch-Irish from Perry County moved to Miami County Ohio and for the first generation at least, we have traced virtually every marriage back to Perry County families.
