Here's what I have: Michael Moore came form Cork, Ireland and served in the War for Independence as a private in Col. Stephen Moylan's Cavalry , Continental Line. (Recorded July 4, 1781). After the war, it is believed he lived with his family on a seventy-five acre farm in Fermanagh Township, Cumberland County, PA (now Juniata County) until his death in 1785.Deborah was widowed at age thirty-fve upon the death of Michael, who was forty-three. They had been married eight years and had Joseph, 4, and Garret, 6 . Deborah then married John Davis in 1791, and they settled in Clinton Twp., Butler Co. Joseph Moore was born 6 Mar 1781 and died 24 Aug 1829. He married Rebecca Watson (her brother, James, married Mary Davis, daughter of Deborah and John Davis!)on 16 Aug 1803. Garret Moore was born in 1779 and died in 1861. He moved with his wife Sarah from Deer Creek Township, Allegheny County, to the farm previously owned by his mother and step-father, Deborah and John Davis, in south Clinton Township, Butler County. John R Moore, their only son, died on the farm in 1866. Garret and Sara are buried in Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Clinton Twp. Joespeh and Garret both served in the War of 1812. Please email for more discussion on Deborah's ancestry. I think she might be Irish, rather than German. Do you know? I'd be happy with whatever you can send me.
