On the link previously posted, follow the camera symbol. The site lists holdings by the archive, but not all have been scanned. Only those with a camera next to them are available. The pickings are slim, but there are pickings. Revolutionary War Veterans pension application files and the Insolvent Debtor files are the ones of greatest value to us genealogists.
I agree with the person having problems with your information, and I still am having the problem. Of course, I only used the ones with a Camera, but I still could not get any information. No access to the files popped up no matter how I tried. I thought you inferred that you could access the files themselves through your link. What am I doing wrong? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ed Wevodau" <wevo@verizon.net> To: <pacumber@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, December 28, 2009 7:35 AM Subject: [PACUMBER] Clarification on Archives > > On the link previously posted, follow the camera symbol. some is there. I found a couple of ancestor names but don't know if related or not. Would be wonderful if there was an index. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul" <geneo@paul-n-paul.com> To: <pacumber@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, December 28, 2009 9:42 AM Subject: Re: [PACUMBER] Clarification on Archives >I agree with the person having problems with your information, and I still > am having the problem. This is what I did and it seemed to work: On the "Cumberland County, PA Archive Listings" page, I tapped on "Clerk of Courts". That took me to "Clerk of Courts Record Series", I tapped on "[inventory]" under "Bastardy Bonds". On the "Clerk of Courts - Bastardy Bonds Inventory" page, I tapped on the image of the camera which provided a photograph of the document that I was interested in. Hope this helps.
