Hello Pam, I am not an Arthurs descendant but have some information about a Joseph Arthur who lived in Cumberland County and was a part owner of the Pine Grove Iron Furnace there. He later moved to Shenandoah County Va and continued to own furnaces in VA. There may be a connection to John Arthur also. If you believe that your Arthurs could also be Arthur, then I might have some more information on where they went from Cumberland County VA. I am only interested in the Arthur family because my ancestor, John Glenn b. 1771, worked for the Pine Grove Furnace in Cumberland County PA and later followed the Arthur family to Shenandoah/Page Counties VA where he worked at the Isabella Furnace. He must have thought a lot of Joseph Arthur because he named one of his sons Joseph Arthur Glenn. Let me know if you think this might connect, and I'll send you what I have.
