This is not Cumberland County and these areas were never part of Cumberland County. You do find the Ranck family in Cumberland with the phonetic spelling Ronk. There are some early Ronks in Lancaster County. Depending on what branch of this family you're interested in, there is a privately printed book "The Ranks of the Rancks; A Ranck/Rank Family History"by J. Allen Ranck, 1978, that discussed a line in Ohio with lineage back to PA. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
