He married Elizabeth maiden name possibly McGoldrick) and had the following children: Joseph, Hiran, Sarah, America, Elizabeth, Matilda, Robert Wilson. I believed he died between 1850-1860 because I do not find him after the 1850 census. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Sarah was likely born in the 1740's. She may not have been born in Cumberland Co. Her husband John Christy was born in Ulster in 1744 and came to America in 1762. They probably got married in 1768 or 9 as 1st child was born in 1770. I know they lived in Westmoreland Co. after being married and may have been married in that county. John Christy's brother and sister married a brother and sister named Campbell and they were from Cumberland Co. I also have evidence that the Christy family lived in Cumberland before moving to Westmoreland. So there's a very good chance the Dunbar's were also from Cumberland Co. According to his Civil War pension application, my Robert McCune was born in Newville in 1820; but I have no clue as to his father, except that a John and Catherine McCune are buried near him in the Lexington, OH, cemetery. Is there possibly a Cumberland county deed on record from a John McCune/McEwen, sometime in the 1830 to 1850 time frame? I'm assuming he would have sold his property prior to moving his family west, into Ohio. Thanks, in advance, for anything you can do, and for your thoughtful offer. PI 3-3-1982 It lists by name, tribe and date of death. Broken down into plots A,B,C,D,E and F. There are 227 graves listed, 14 unknown. 187 are from the period the school, including 10 of the unknown graves. You can request their service... but it costs. I will be going there in the future also... don't know how fast you need the list. Kim Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He married a Catharine, unkown maiden name. It is her maiden name which I would like to find. Is there a record of the marriage which probably took place in Cumberland Co. According to census records, Catharine was born in PA. Both later relocated to Jefferson/Carroll County Ohio. Will for the father, Enoch Abrahims who died in 1812, names as a beneficiary, this Michael. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. She married John Christy b 1744 in Ulster and who arrived in America in 1762. They lived in Westmoreland Co but I don't know where they married. John Christy had a sister Ann who married John Campbell and a brother James who married Mary Campbell, the sister of John. The Campbell's and Christy's appear to have come from Cumberland Co. Hence, the query I posted. I have no knowledge of Sarah's relationship but the house of Dunbar is very interesting. The Ancient House of Dunbar included the following: Crinan 975 to 1045 married Belhoc daughter of Malcolm II, King of Scotland. Duncan I, King of Scotland 1034 to 1040. murdered by MacBeth. Maldred, King of Cumbria b 1005 d 1045 married Algatha, grand Daughter of Ethelred, king of England. Gospatric, The Lord Gospatric, Earl of Northumberland, the first to hold Dunbar and an heir to the thrones of England and Scotland 1040 to 1115. She marries John Christy b N. Ireland 1744 and arrives 1762 in America. They lived in Westmoreland County until late 1700's and then moved to Butler Co. John Christy's brother and sister married Campbell brother and sister. None of the couples (John Campbell/ Ann Christy and James Christy/Mary Campbell could have neen born in Westmoreland Co. as it wasn't open for settlement when they were born. The Campbell's may have been from Cumberland county as a John Campbell in that county had a son John and a daughter Mary who married a Christy. And there were a number of Christy families in that area. So I've been looking for my Sarah's people in Cumberland Co and hence the query I posted. See the following. Sarah may be of the Ancient House of Dunbar that included the following: Crinan 975 to 1045 married Belhoc daughter of Malcolm II, King of Scotland. Duncan I, King of Scotland 1034 to 1040. murdered by MacBeth. Maldred, King of Cumbria b 1005 d 1045 married Algatha, grand Daughter of Ethelred, king of England.
