Born in VA and live in FL with 4 other Blauch family members. I was just having fun looking up what my last name meant and stumbled upon your thread. Are you still looking for family members, information, or anything else? I would love to give you any information. I have family in WV too. My grandfather has been very interested in finding other family members too. After my Grandmother passed away, I guess it's something to keep him busy. Hope I can help. Author: keyboards1998 Surnames: Dean, Deane Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.cumberland/5473/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am seeking information on Camp Hill, PA, and more specifically on any information regarding the Deans of Dorchester Association that was founded by Rev. John W. Dean, whom I believe may have lived in Camp Hill or the surrounding area. Some background info: The original Deans of Dorchester Association was founded by Rev. Dean circa 1939 in either Camp Hill or Kulpmont (in Northumberland County). In the Association Newsletters, which were distributed to association members, local libraries, the Library of Congress and others, the Official address of the association is listed as Camp Hill. As late as 1973, wrote a manuscript which mentioned that the Association's research might be stored in a bank vault in either Kulpmont or Camp Hill. As the founder of a "new" Deans of Dorchester Association based on Rev. Dean's ideals for a research group, I am very interested in any leads which could possibly lead me to that association's research. Why is this research important? This research represents about 50 years of research into a particular set of bloodlines: namely the bloodlines of William Gilbert Deane of Dorchester, England, and consequently, his grandson, William Richard Deane, the patriarch of the Deans of Dorchester County, Maryland, granted 100 acres he called "Dean's Choice", which was patented in 1685.
