Norma and list members, I reported this violation of the Terms of Use of the Ancestry.com Message Board for PA Cumberland. Technically, this is not spam. It is a valid post about genealogy. The violation is that it is a blatant advertisement. You don't see the four or so potential spams per day that I am informed about that RW does not automatically remove. AND I don't see whatever number of posts that RW catches and removes as definite SPAM. Be thankful that only a FEW items like this get through. Andrew and his family are in the 1820 census in Cumberland County and later records indicate his first children were born in York County in the 1800-1810 decade. I plan to attend the Ligonier Scottish Games in PA, September 11 and 12, 2010. The Elliot Clan Society will hold its Annual General Meeting there, after which I plan to go to Cumberland and York Counties to do research. I would very much appreciate references to libraries, archives, historical societies, and government offices which might contain birth, marriage and death records. Thank you for your assistance.
