My wife's ggg grandmother was Elizabeth J.Failor (1836-1916), wife of Benjamin F. Brymesser. Could she be the Elizabeth b. 3/25/1835 listed in your posting? I'm looking for any information on the two following girls who just disappeared: 1. Catharine Grace Thumma b. Nov 19, 1913 2. Ruth Bevins Thumma b. Feb 7, 1920 (I was once told that she either commited suicide or was murdered)...I'm unable to prove either... Hi, Thought I would post this to the list. Below are all my Miller family that I have found to date. They are all buried with in Cumberland County at various cemeteries. And most have their spouses now listed with them. I am not sure on some if the connections are correct as I used those that I could find in the census records for Cumberland County and data that was listed among the plot owners,(when available from the various cememteries) as well as prior knowledge of the families. Nov. 1843): Mary Rippey Fletcher, James Reeside Fletcher, Jacob Philip Fletcher, John Rippey Fletcher, and Laura Virginia Fletcher. On the 1850 census for Bedford Borough, Bedford Co., PA, the family was listed living with William's father Jacob. By the time of the 1860 census, all family members were gone. The only clues I've found were that James Fletcher later gave the name of John A. Blodgett, an attorney in Bedford, PA, as his uncle. John Blodgett's wife was Nancy; was she a sister of Elizabeth Rippey Fletcher? Also of interest was that the youngest child, Laura Virginia Fletcher, unmarried, was living in Pittsburgh at the time of her death in the 1920s. Had Elizabeth and her children moved from Bedford to Pittsburgh after the 1850 census, to be with another Rippey family member? Any help with placing this Elizabeth S. Rippey of Cumberland and Bedford, with her parents and family during the early and mid 1800s, would be most appreciated.
